Products - PresenceID Platform Architecture
The PresenceID platform consists of one or more PresenceID Hub Manager servers connected to PresenceID Spoke Manager connectors on all connected systems, applications and services across the enterprise. Integration is transparent as users and resources are loosely coupled by PresenceID “identity services” over secure standard Web services communicating with native APIs to identity source systems. Users and IT administrators use a Web browser to access individual Personal Virtual Directories and administration tasks. PresenceID has many unique architectural, feature and patent pending technologies that make it indispensable for comprehensive cost effective unified identity and on-demand service delivery today.
PresenceID Hub Manager
The PresenceID Hub Manager server provides a secure central SQL RDO identity repository, communication, synchronization and virtualization services, SQL-compliant logs, and an administration console. It is the engine that collects, analyzes, provisions, synchronizes, normalizes and maintains a unified identity presence. Hub Managers also perform identity self-healing to ensure data quality and integrity. It even makes sure offline systems get synchronized as they come back online. Provisioning, virtualization and service delivery includes the rights-based provisioning of users and content distributed across the enterprise. They enable current, new and temporary employees to get access to, and to be removed from, authorized resources dynamically and quickly.
PresenceID Hub Manager uniquely creates and maintains up-to-date virtual directory trees of all content and services each user has rights to in a Personal Virtual Directory. Each Personal Virtual Directory provides continuously updated on-demand delivery to a user via a URL bookmark in their Web browser that lets them know everything they have access to, and simply click on to access. Personal Virtual Directories greatly increase security because users only see the files, systems, applications and services to which they have been provisioned; not entire directories which can be explored to access unauthorized resources.
The PresenceID Hub Manager Server Administration Console includes a complete range of configuration, monitor and reporting functions. Multiple levels of primary, secondary and delegated administrators can have consoles. Administrators and users can even temporarily delegate authority for a predetermined period of time without divulging user names and passwords to others.
PresenceID Hub Manager runs on standard Java application servers with the RDO identity repository stored in a SQL database for exceptional security and easy query for compliance integration. PresenceID Hub Managers can scale and be deployed to meet the needs of even the largest and most complex enterprise. Both users and IT administrators use a standard Web browser user interface. No client software needs to be installed, maintained or supported.
PresenceID Spoke Manager
PresenceID Spoke Manager connectors communicate and synchronize identity data between identity source systems and one or more PresenceID Hub Manager. They perform data transformations including data mapping and formatting depending upon the data requirements of the source system, change data capture, communication and synchronization, and any system specific logic to interact with open and native APIs, and native data stores. Each PresenceID Spoke Manager connector talks with applications and services in their native API so that data attributes and relationships for the specific information and versions they define are properly formatted.
Current PresenceID Spoke Managers include LDAP (OpenLDAP, Novell eDirectory and Microsoft Active Directory), JDBC (Oracle & MySQL), SugarCRM, OrangeHRM, PeopleSoft HR, Microsoft Exchange, Google Apps and more. New PresenceID Spoke Managers are added continually and can be downloaded at no cost. Additional PresenceID Spoke Managers for other mainframe, custom, open-source, SaaS and cloud computing applications and services can easily be created using popular SQL tools like Quest Software Toad, Oracle SQL Developer or by PresenceID custom services.
